S&N says “Hello” to Uncle Sam |
Sacramento, California was the venue chosen for the National Genealogical Society Conference. |
We were made welcome by the friendly Sacramento society who enlivened the proceedings with costume and colour. The NGS has set up a British Interest Group and many International stands were present. The air conditioned convention centres provide a great venue for genealogy shows and the facilities provided included the decorative trimming of all the stands. This is the third NGS conference S&N have attended and as usual the organisation and facilities were faultless. |

We were kept busy with many who's research led them across the water. Cornish interest were evident, no doubt tin miners were attracted in the gold rush that fed this historic city. |
RootsMagic 2 Launched at the show |
Bruce Buzbee, author of RootsMagic, launched version 2 of the software at the show and gave me a detailed brief of how he had improved the code in the UK Edition published by S&N. The program is now head and shoulders above the competition with the new research and charting features. Read about the new features here. |
